Charlotte Boyd is an independent vocalist, sound artist, and sound practitioner based in Scotland.
Her self-produced music blends elements of Electronic, Alt-R&B, Indie-Soul, Ambient, Folk, and Experimental — creating rich, emotive soundscapes shaped by voice, texture, and subtle production.
Charlotte has released the Streaks of Light and Everything Has Changed EPs with Hamartia, and is one half of the experimental electronic duo The Inside. She is also the co-creator of Soundspells — music meditations for pregnancy, birth, and motherhood — in collaboration with birth doula Caitlin Heavey.
In addition to her creative projects, Charlotte leads group singing and sound sessions, guiding others to connect with their voices, unlock their creativity, and experience emotional release through song and sound. Her work invites participants into a shared space of collective expression and connection through voice and music.
HAMARTIA is a deep, intertwining sound at the convergence of soul, acoustic, and electronic space. The project brings together the talents of Ed Fairman (Guitar and Production) and Charlotte Boyd (Lyrics, Vocals, and Production), blending emotive storytelling with a rich mix of organic and electronic textures.
The Inside explores sound that shifts and echoes across ambient, electro-acoustic soundscapes, minimalist drones, and subtle trap beats. Their work blends obscure instrumentation from past decades with live recordings of clarinet and piano, while expressive, soothing, and soulful vocals tie it all together, creating a unique and immersive listening experience.
